The first quarter marked a solid start to the year, with continued positive momentum driven by strong demand in the wind segment from Western original equipment manufacturers and increased order intake. Manufacturing Solutions delivered a resilient performance despite some delays in non-wind activities. Marine & Industrial progressed with new polyethylene terephthalate markets and subsea projects, although the marine end-market remained subdued.

Gurit reports unaudited net sales of CHF 75.9 million for the first quarter of 2026. Net sales from continued operations increased by 25.1% at constant exchange rates compared with the first quarter of 2025, while including discontinued operations, reported sales declined by 10.9% in CHF terms, or 2.2% at constant exchange rates.

Wind Materials recorded net sales of CHF 40.5 million, representing a 17.4% increase in continued operations at constant exchange rates compared with the same period last year. Performance was supported by strong demand from Western original equipment manufacturers, higher sales of epoxy formulated products and growth in glass pultruded products. The business is expected to benefit from continued wind market growth.

Manufacturing Solutions achieved net sales of CHF 12.6 million, an increase of 129.3% at constant exchange rates compared with a relatively low first quarter of 2025. Despite ongoing delays in some customer investment decisions, others have progressed. The ramp-up of non-wind activities, particularly wind-assisted ship propulsion, is expected to remain slower than anticipated following a one-year postponement of the regulatory framework by the International Maritime Organization. Gurit expects the Manufacturing Solutions segment to deliver profitable growth in 2026.

The impact of the Middle East crisis has so far been limited. The company reports no supply chain disruptions and manageable demand effects. Gurit confirms its current guidance while continuing to monitor market developments and will reassess if conditions deteriorate.
