Enercon expands local manufacturing of E-175 EP5 E2 components in Türkiye

Following the localisation of rotor blade production, Enercon will also manufacture generators and hybrid steel towers for the E-175 EP5 E2 in Türkiye. Under the agreements, ATEŞ Wind Power will manufacture generators for projects in Türkiye at its facility in Bergama, İzmir Province. The expansion is expected to create 300 new jobs at the site and support additional employment among regional suppliers.

Vattenfall and Project Enki, together with ABB, are exploring the potential for developing offshore data centres directly connected to offshore wind farms. The initiative aims to address growing demand for computing capacity, including for artificial intelligence (AI) applications, while reducing pressure on onshore electricity grids. The collaboration focuses on integrating existing technologies. Project Enki will develop and operate the data centres, while Vattenfall will provide a long-term supply of renewable electricity generated by offshore wind farms.

Amazon signs 600 MW power purchase agreement for Skyborn's 976.5 MW Gennaker offshore wind farm in Germany

Amazon and Skyborn Renewables have signed a 600 MW power purchase agreement (PPA) for electricity generated by the Gennaker offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea. Amazon's long-term commitment to purchase electricity from the project provides Skyborn with additional revenue certainty as it advances towards construction. The 600 MW agreement covers approximately 61% of Gennaker's total planned capacity.
Invenergy to terminate four offshore wind leases under US settlement agreement

wpd’s first onshore wind project in Japan, the Higashi Izu Furusato Wind Power Plant in Shizuoka Prefecture, has reached commercial operation. Developed by Higashi Izu Wind Power Godo Kaisha, a joint venture between wpd and GPSS Group, the project is located along a mountainous coastal ridge about 120 km southwest of Tokyo.
