Tahkoluoto offshore wind study suggests birds adapt to turbine presence

A study of the Tahkoluoto offshore wind farm in Finland suggests that bird flight behaviour may adapt over time in the presence of offshore wind turbines. The research, Finland’s first bird radar-based study on offshore wind, was carried out through collaboration between Suomen Hyötytuuli and One Planet. It analysed bird movement patterns before and after turbine construction and is based on data collected between 2017 and 2021, covering around 2.83 million recorded flights.
Suzlon reports higher revenue and deliveries in FY26

Suzlon reported consolidated revenue of Rs 16,679 crore for FY26, up 54% from FY25, while EBITDA increased 63% to Rs 3,022 crore. Profit after tax rose 53% year-on-year to Rs 3,163 crore. Suzlon reported an EBITDA margin of 18.1% for the financial year, compared with 17.1% in FY25.
Jumbo orders two heavy lift vessels from Dajin Heavy Industry

Jumbo has signed a contract with Dajin Heavy Industry for the construction of two heavy lift transportation vessels. The vessels will form Jumbo’s new L-Class fleet, designed for a range of heavy lift transport operations. Jumbo developed the energy-efficient and methanol-ready 25,000 deadweight tonne vessels in-house.
Skyborn Renewables awards Nordergründe offshore wind service contract to Semco Maritime and Wind Multiplikator

Skyborn Renewables has awarded a long-term integrated service contract for the Nordergründe offshore wind farm in Germany to Semco Maritime and its subsidiary Wind Multiplikator. The agreement covers 18 Senvion 6.2 MW wind turbines, foundations and the offshore substation under a single-service setup. The contract is scheduled to start on 1 June 2026 and has an initial term of 5.5 years with an option for extension.

US wind and renewable energy generation rises in first quarter of 2026
