Iberdrola reports higher electricity distribution and increased renewable capacity

Iberdrola increased the amount of electricity distributed across its global networks by 6.3% in the first half of 2026 to 136,648 GWh, reflecting higher electricity demand and continued electrification. Electricity distribution increased across all of the group's operating regions. The largest increase was recorded in the United Kingdom, where distributed electricity rose by 32.6%, supported by the integration of Electricity North West.
Cowi supports certification for 315 MW offshore wind project in Japan

Heerema shortens North Atlantic transit using voyage optimisation

Heerema Marine Contractors has reduced the North Atlantic transit time of its semi-submersible crane vessel Sleipnir by 2.5 days during a voyage optimisation pilot with French ocean intelligence company Amphitrite. The optimised route shortened the voyage by 240 nautical miles and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by up to 18%, while maintaining higher average speeds without increasing fuel consumption. The pilot combined Heerema's offshore operational experience with Amphitrite's vessel-specific voyage optimisation platform.

Baltic Power offshore wind farm delivers first electricity to Polish grid

The first wind turbine has begun generating electricity, with additional turbines scheduled to enter service over the coming weeks as commissioning and testing continue.
