Advantages of Direct Drive

In that issue there is a list of wind turbine manufacturers who had just introduced their latest direct drive wind turbine designs at the EWEA Wind Event 2011. This shows just how much interest and confidence there is in this technology. The Korean wind turbine manufacturer STX Windpower B.V.* fully supports this technology, and as a result it has recently introduced its latest direct drive development, the STX 93 2MW.
