Nova Scotia and Vermont have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on transmission collaboration and regional grid integration, establishing a framework for cooperation on clean energy development and regional energy security.
The three-year agreement covers offshore wind energy, electricity transmission planning and regional grid integration. It will support knowledge sharing and the exploration of opportunities to deliver electricity from Nova Scotia’s offshore wind resources to meet growing demand for reliable, affordable and clean electricity in New England.
The agreement runs for an initial three years, with an option to renew for a further three years.
