On February 28/2012, Windkraft FIT GmbH, XEMC Darwind B.V. and XEMC Windpower Ltd. concluded a Turbine Supply and Erection agreement with regard to the construction and supply of 10 wind turbines of 5MW each to be installed at a site in the North Sea off the coast of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Energy Secretary Steven Chu today announced the start of an ambitious initiative to capture the potential of wind energy off American coasts. As part of a planned six-year initiative the government will support up to four innovative offshore wind energy installations across the USA.

Forewind has signed connection agreements with National Grid for three further 1GW grid connections, adding to the 3GW signed since the zone was awarded in early 2010. These latest agreements for connections located in Teesside and Yorkshire mean Forewind can proceed with the development of a total of 6GW of offshore wind farm generation capacity.
