Pemamek has expanded its software capabilities with an adaptive offline programming workflow that automatically adjusts welding programmes based on actual joint conditions. The capability combines two technologies already used in customer applications: offline welding programming and weld joint scanning. While the technologies have been used separately, their integration into a single workflow connects programming and production.
Using scan data from the actual weld bevel geometry, the system identifies deviations from the planned joint and adapts the multi-pass welding pattern accordingly. Previously, this process required manual steps to analyse scan results and update welding programmes. The new workflow automates these tasks, reducing the need for manual adjustments.
By reducing process handovers and user interactions, the adaptive workflow is intended to help manufacturers improve productivity and consistency. It also allows welding programmes to reflect actual production conditions, supporting process efficiency and reliability.
The new functionality is available as part of Pema WeldControl and complements Pemamek’s portfolio of digital welding, robotics and automation solutions.
The system is designed to connect virtual planning with production conditions and support more automated welding operations.
