DWT and its subsidiary OutSmart have been awarded a five-year contract for the Hai Long Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan. The project includes the Hai Long 2 and Hai Long 3 wind farms, which together will comprise 73 Siemens Gamesa 14-222 turbines with a total installed capacity of over 1 GW.
DWT Taiwan will be responsible for the continuous monitoring of the turbines and three substations. To accommodate the expanded scope, the company is increasing both space and staffing at its Control Centre in Taiwan, supported by OutSmart’s Operations Control Centre in Emden, Germany. As construction progresses, DWT’s responsibilities will grow in line with the commissioning of additional turbines and facilities.
The Hai Long Project is jointly developed by Mitsui & Co. of Japan, Northland Power of Canada, and Gentari International Renewables of Malaysia.
