The World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) held its 4th World Wind Energy Conference & Renewable Energy Exhibition in Melbourne, Australia, from 2 to 4 November 2005. The event had 116 oral presentations and 44 posters, and the audience totalled some 500 persons. Relevant items concerning wind energy and its applications were covered, with some presentations dealing with the latest developments in these areas.

This September the exhibition of exhibitions of wind energy took place. For everyone involved with wind energy a visit was inevitable; weeks before the opening people would call you up and ask which day you would be at Husum so that a meeting could be arranged.

A New Event for the Wind Energy Business
Between 26 and 28 October, the first Copenhagen Offshore Wind (COW) conference and exhibition took place. Around 900 people participated in the conference and there were more than 100 companies exhibiting. With the importance of offshore wind energy, a special event like this is a good idea, although the annual schedule of conferences and exhibitions is quite busy already.
