European Energy has completed the sale of a portfolio of 12 wind turbines in the municipality of Waadhoeke in the Netherlands to Dutch company Westra. The portfolio has a combined capacity of 6 MW.
European Energy acquired the wind turbines in 2021 and has since managed and operated the assets. The transaction forms part of the company's strategy of recycling capital from operational renewable energy assets into the development, construction and operation of new projects.
Westra, which is based in Friesland and headquartered in the municipality of Waadhoeke, operates in infrastructure projects, earthmoving and green maintenance services.
The divestment will allow European Energy to redeploy capital into its renewable energy project pipeline across Europe.
