Ocean Breeze Energy has awarded Deutsche Windtechnik a service contract for the alpha ventus offshore wind farm in Germany. The contract covers maintenance and troubleshooting of the wind turbines, as well as associated technical support.
From September 2027, the scope will be extended to include remote monitoring, Marine Coordination Centre and Offshore Control Centre (MCC/OCC) services, grid management and 24/7 alarm handling for all turbines.
Deutsche Windtechnik has been involved in maintenance at alpha ventus since 2017, initially providing basic maintenance for the six Senvion 5M turbines. In early 2020, its responsibilities were extended to the six AREVA Multibrid (M5000) turbines. Both previous service contracts expired at the end of 2024.
