W3 Energy has appointed Jesper Åkerlund as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 December 2025. Åkerlund brings broad experience from senior roles in the business sector, most recently as Vice President and Business Manager at Setra Group, and previously as CEO of Martinsons Byggsystem.
Outgoing CEO Pär Dunder will continue as a shareholder and board member of W3 Energy. The company manages 4,500 MW of renewable energy across Sweden and employs around fifty people. The company manages about one third of Sweden’s renewable energy production and focuses on wind power in cold climates, as well as facilities combining several renewable energy sources.
