Kinewell has opened a new head office at The Catalyst, part of Newcastle Helix, and recruited five new employees. Newcastle Helix is a city centre development comprising 11 buildings that bring together businesses, industry and research organisations.
The move supports Kinewell's expansion as demand for its offshore wind optimisation software grows. The company expects the new office to provide space for further recruitment in 2027. The five new appointments are Hannah Smiles as business development manager; Jagoda Waszkowiak as marketing coordinator; Dr Tim Whitbread as modelling and optimisation specialist; Muhammad Bilal Akbar as full-stack software developer; and Tejjus Bhat as research and development engineer.
