RelyOn Poland has expanded its training offering in Gdansk to include courses compliant with OPITO standards, supporting the growing demand for qualified personnel in the offshore sector. The development of offshore wind in the Baltic Sea is increasing demand for workers trained to operate in offshore environments. RelyOn Poland’s training centre in Gdansk now offers OPITO-certified courses alongside training based on other industry standards.
The Gdansk centre includes a dedicated training pool for practical exercises covering offshore safety, evacuation and marine rescue. Courses include HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training), which prepares participants for emergency evacuation from a helicopter following a ditching. The exercises are carried out in controlled conditions using specialised training equipment.
The availability of OPITO training in Gdansk adds a second location for these courses in Poland, alongside Szczecin. This gives companies involved in offshore projects access to the training closer to the developing Baltic Sea offshore wind market.
RelyOn Poland has operated in Gdansk since 2023, providing training based on standards including GWO, IRATA and ITRA. The addition of OPITO courses expands its training offering for the offshore sector in the region.
