Aventa has announced that Offshore Projects Alliance (OPA), an Aberdeen-based provider of offshore personnel and crewing services for offshore wind and subsea cable projects, has joined the Aventa Group. Founded in 2017, OPA supplies personnel for all stages of subsea cable installation, including route preparation, cable laying and burial, pull-in operations, high-voltage (HV) and fibre-optic termination, jointing and testing. Its services also cover personnel logistics and remedial works.
Its personnel network includes offshore managers, shift supervisors, client representatives, shore-end works managers, tower team leads, HV and fibre-optic jointers, deck crew, equipment technicians, trenching and ploughing personnel, quality, health, safety and environment (QHSE) specialists and project engineers.
The addition of OPA is expected to strengthen Aventa's presence in Scotland and the wider UK. OPA will continue operating under its existing name from Aberdeen, while a new office will open in Glasgow.
Becki McLeod, OPA's crewing director, will join Aventa as offshore project resources and support manager, helping to develop the group's offshore personnel activities.
OPA joins Aventa shortly after Irish Sea Contractors, the acquisition of which was announced on 13 October 2026.
