Sif has reached a key production milestone at its Maasvlakte 2 manufacturing facility in Rotterdam, achieving an output of four offshore wind monopiles per week in December 2025. The reference rate is based on an annual target of 200 monopiles, each weighing around 2,500 tonnes, once the facility is fully operational. The milestone follows equipment upgrades and process stabilisation carried out in line with the plan announced in August 2025.

With the stabilisation phase completed, the next phase will focus on efficiency improvements through the first half of 2026. Based on current performance, Sif reiterated its adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation outlook of €45 million for 2025 and a provisional minimum guidance of €135 million for 2026.

Looking beyond 2026, Sif noted continued pressure on offshore wind project economics linked to geopolitical uncertainty, grid constraints in Europe and slower growth in electricity demand. These factors have affected power offtake arrangements and financing conditions. Policy responses at European Union and member state level have included revised support mechanisms, grid investment plans and adjustments to tender criteria.

Sif highlighted the importance of timely policy implementation to support a consistent pipeline of offshore wind projects, as fabrication and installation capacity increases. Greater clarity on tender schedules and final investment decisions is expected in the first quarter of 2026 for projects from 2027 onwards in both the United Kingdom and European Union. Based on active tenders for 2028 and beyond, Sif anticipates higher levels of offshore wind activity, subject to the effectiveness of measures to ensure competitive conditions in European and UK markets.
