Ventus Energy promotes Alastair Symington and Matt Holden to senior rolesVentus Energy has promoted Alastair Symington to divisional head of asset management and Matt Holden to head of operations and maintenance. In his new role, Symington will oversee the company’s asset management activities across operations and maintenance, commissioning and technical support. His responsibilities include delivery performance, client engagement and the development of operational capabilities, including the expansion of the company’s control room into a broader operational control centre.

Symington has more than 14 years of experience in the energy sector, including work with a distribution network operator and as a senior authorised person. He joined Ventus Energy in 2022 and has held several roles in operations and maintenance.

He will also support the development of the company’s operations and maintenance services in line with demand across wind, battery energy storage and high-voltage infrastructure.

Holden has over eight years of experience in renewable energy, primarily in high-voltage operations and maintenance for onshore and offshore wind. Since joining the company, he has progressed through technical roles and has experience in asset delivery, high-voltage safety, outage planning and maintenance.

Ventus Energy provides high-voltage services including testing, fault response, operations and maintenance, and electrical safety management, as well as support for onshore and subsea cable repair.
