Global Underwater Hub (GUH) and Subsea Innovation Cluster Australia (SICA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support the growth of the subsea sector in both the UK and Australia. GUH, the trade and development body representing the UK’s underwater industry, is partnering with SICA, a membership organisation for Australian subsea companies, to drive innovation, collaboration, and sector growth.
Under the agreement, both organisations will actively promote opportunities for their subsea supply chains and assist each other’s members in accessing new markets. They will also exchange market intelligence and insights on diversification strategies, particularly in energy transition and defence, including the security of critical underwater infrastructure. A key focus will be fostering collaboration through partnership innovation programmes between UK and Australian firms, facilitating the development and implementation of technologies suited to both regions.
