MEASNET, the International Network of Wind Energy Measurement Institutes, has published the final report on the 20ec01 Electrical Characteristics Proficiency Test (PT). The report presents the results of an intercomparison conducted among 13 technical laboratories from the European Union and China.
The participating laboratories demonstrated their competence through an independent process, with 70% successfully passing the test. This is the fourth public report issued by MEASNET on proficiency testing under IECRE (IEC System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Renewable Energy Applications). The report provides insight into the work of technical laboratories in wind energy and their role in intercomparisons.
The 20ec01 Electrical Characteristics Proficiency Test was coordinated by Michael Fürst, test conductor and engineer at windtest grevenbroich. The report is now available for free download on the MEASNET website.
As the official IECRE provider for Proficiency Tests in the wind industry, MEASNET evaluates qualification based on harmonised and aligned criteria. Since 2020, more than 90 laboratories have participated in these evaluations. Proficiency testing ensures competence through inter-laboratory comparisons and fosters mutual trust, supporting international acceptance.
