Installation of the first pin piles has been completed at the Fengmiao Offshore Wind Farm, marking the start of offshore installation works for the project. In total, 99 pin piles are required for the wind farm. These components were manufactured by Century Huaxin Wind Energy and CTCI MAC, while transportation and installation are being carried out by CDWE using the installation vessel Green Jade.
Offshore work began during the Lunar New Year period. Prior to the start of installation activities, a ceremony was held at Wharf No.106 at the Port of Taichung with representatives from Taiwan International Ports Corporation, the Coast Guard Administration, the Taichung Harbor Police Department and the Taichung Fishermen’s Association.
The project is being developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and forms part of the continuing development of offshore wind capacity in Taiwan.
