Natural Power has completed a two-phase technical due diligence assignment supporting Technique Solaire in its acquisition of an onshore wind portfolio in France from Iberdrola. The transaction adds 11 operational wind farms with a combined capacity of 118 MW to Technique Solaire’s portfolio and includes a further 639 MW development pipeline of onshore wind and solar projects.

Natural Power reviewed 260 MW of the development portfolio as part of the due diligence process. Natural Power carried out buy-side technical due diligence across two phases of review. The work included an assessment of the operational assets, covering turbine technology, performance history, operations and maintenance arrangements, permitting compliance and asset management structures, as well as an evaluation of projects under development.

The operational portfolio comprises 60 turbines across 11 wind farms using a mix of Enercon and Vestas turbines. The review assessed turbine condition, availability trends, contractual operations and maintenance frameworks and lifecycle assumptions, together with analysis of key technical and operational risks. The team also evaluated ICPE permitting compliance and curtailment obligations to clarify potential regulatory exposure.

For the development pipeline, Natural Power assessed permitting status, grid connection arrangements, ecological constraints, construction schedules and financial model assumptions. The review aimed to provide an independent view of project maturity, connection risks and expected capital expenditure.
