Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its fifth flagship fund, Copenhagen Infrastructure V (CI V), has acquired the 25% stake in the Five Estuaries Offshore Wind Farm project previously held by a Macquarie-led consortium. The project’s other shareholders are EDF power solutions (33.33%), ESB (20.83%) and Sumitomo Corporation (20.83%).

Five Estuaries Offshore Wind Farm is located approximately 40 kilometres off the coasts of north Essex and south Suffolk, England. The project has a planned capacity of up to 1,080 MW and received development consent in December 2025, following more than four years of development. Since receiving consent, work has continued on the project design, early procurement activities and engagement with landowners, local communities and other stakeholders.
