GE Vernova has signed an agreement with Powerica to supply 28 of its 3.8 MW-154m onshore wind turbines for the Botad Wind Farm in Gujarat, India. The order represents a total capacity of 106.4 MW and includes turbine supply and installation. The project marks the fourth wind farm collaboration between GE Vernova and Powerica.
Powerica secured the project's power purchase agreement through a competitive auction conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). Turbine deliveries are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. The turbines will be manufactured at GE Vernova's facility in Pune, India.
Separately, GE Vernova announced that it has been certified by India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and added to the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers of Wind Turbines (ALMM), a requirement for wind turbine manufacturers participating in the Indian wind market.
