Subsea Micropiles has entered into an agreement with Pentland Floating Offshore Wind Farm (PFOWF) covering site investigation, anchor design and offshore installation. The collaboration will include cyclic loading analysis for anchor design and aims to address technical and cost considerations associated with floating offshore wind.
Site investigation will form part of the work, with Subsea Micropiles applying its zonal survey approach to improve understanding of ground conditions and support anchor design.
Its Acoustic Zoom technology provides high-resolution volumetric imaging of the subsurface and is intended to complement conventional geophysical surveys and geotechnical investigation.
The agreement also provides a framework to explore the potential application of Subsea Micropiles’ services across COP’s wider international portfolio.
