deugro commissioned a new port setup in Antwerp, Belgium, for a global wind turbine manufacturer. The facility provides storage and handling space for wind turbine components, including rotor blades, nacelles and tower sections. It also has equipment for handling breakbulk cargo.
The setup includes cranes, specialised handling equipment, storage areas and space for pre-assembly. Its location provides access to European road, rail and inland waterway networks for onward transportation.
Together with local partners, deugro provides services for handling, storing and consolidating wind turbine components. These include port agency coordination, vessel discharge, terminal operations, heavy-lift cargo handling, inventory control, condition inspections and documentation.
The company also provides storage planning, site surveys and logistics management for onward transportation.
