Venterra has appointed Nigel Ward as Managing Director of Osbit, its engineering and technology business, with effect from 1 August 2026. Headquartered in North East England, Osbit has been part of Venterra since 2021. Ward succeeds Robbie Blakeman and Brendon Hayward, who have stepped down as Joint Managing Directors after leading the company for more than 15 years.
Ward has more than 25 years of experience in the renewables, oil and gas, offshore construction and marine sectors. His background includes survey, trenching and subsea technologies.
In his new role, Ward will work with the Osbit team on the development of specialist equipment and engineered systems for the installation, protection and maintenance of offshore infrastructure. He will also support the application of Osbit's engineering expertise across Venterra's wider offshore energy and infrastructure activities.
