Vestas has appointed Anna Mascolo as President of Northern & Central Europe and Global Offshore, succeeding Nils de Baar. She takes up the role today, while De Baar will leave the company at the end of September following a handover period.

Mascolo joins Vestas from Shell, where she most recently served as Executive Vice President of Low Carbon Solutions. She has more than 25 years of international experience across the energy sector, including leadership roles in research, trading, aviation, chemicals, mergers and acquisitions, and low-carbon technologies. Her previous positions include President of Global Aviation at Shell and Vice Chair of the Raízen Board. She also serves as an independent non-executive director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Rolls-Royce SMR.

De Baar retires from operational roles after more than ten years as Regional President, during which Vestas expanded its market presence and customer base.

In her new role, Mascolo will oversee Vestas' sales, construction, service and development activities for onshore wind across Northern and Central Europe, as well as the company's Global Offshore business.
