The Bundesnetzagentur has published the results of its latest auction for onshore wind projects, which closed for bids on 1 August 2026. The auction offered 2,520 MW. A total of 461 bids with a combined volume of 5,250 MW were submitted. The Bundesnetzagentur awarded 237 bids with a total capacity of 2,523 MW, while 17 bids were excluded from the auction.
The successful bids in the pay-as-bid auction ranged from €0.0449 to €0.0498 per kWh. The volume-weighted average award price was €0.0479 per kWh, down from €0.0506 per kWh in the previous auction. Lower Saxony received the largest awarded volume, with 81 awards totalling 836 MW. North Rhine-Westphalia received 42 awards totalling 430 MW, followed by Rhineland-Palatinate with 17 awards and 336 MW.
