Van Oord deploys VibroJet method for monopile installation at Hollandse Kust West offshore wind farmCape Holland, part of Venterra Group, and GBM Works have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly further develop and commercialise Vibrojet, an installation technology for offshore wind monopile foundations. The technology combines vibratory driving with controlled water jetting.

Vibrojet was successfully deployed earlier this year for the installation of three monopile foundations at the Hollandse Kust West wind farm in the Netherlands.

GBM Works developed the patented Vibrojet technology and has expertise in the controlled application of water jetting for offshore foundation installation. Cape Holland provides vibratory installation technology, including vibratory hammers and lifting equipment.

The companies intend to combine their respective expertise to further develop the technology and commercialise it as a joint solution. The planned cooperation will cover technology development, feasibility studies, system integration and offshore project execution.

Under the planned division of responsibilities, GBM Works will lead Vibrojet technology development, project feasibility studies and marketing. Cape Holland will focus on the development of its Vibro Lifting Technology, system integration and operational execution of offshore projects.

The companies plan to formalise the cooperation through licence and long-term cooperation agreements. They aim to make Vibrojet commercially available as an integrated solution for offshore wind foundation installation projects from 2027.
