TenneT Germany has become a Development Sponsor of the Frequensea Decommissioning Tool, supporting its development towards offshore deployment. The tool is being developed to facilitate the recovery of subsea cables while reducing disturbance to the seabed.
Following completion of a testing programme at Deltares, TenneT Germany will assess its potential for future offshore cable decommissioning in the North Sea. TenneT Germany joins existing Development Sponsors DEME and Subsea Cable Assets (SCA), a specialist in cable handling systems.
