Dehn has introduced Dehnsphere, a digital platform for monitoring and analysing lightning events on wind turbines. The platform uses data from the Dehndetect lightning current measurement system, which records lightning events directly on the turbine.
Dehnsphere collects the recorded events centrally and presents the data for analysis. Operators can view recorded incidents, review event histories and set notifications. The information can be used to support decisions on inspections and maintenance.
Dehndetect provides the measurement data for the platform. The system was developed for wind turbines to record lightning events and is DNV certified. It meets the requirements of IEC 61400-24 for lightning monitoring of wind turbines.
