Max Bögl completes concrete tower for high hybrid wind turbineMax Bögl Wind has completed the concrete tower for its wind turbine at Winnberg near Sengenthal in Bavaria, Germany. The turbine is designed with a hub height of 199 metres and an overall height of 285 metres. The concrete section of the tower stands almost 108 metres high. The remaining construction work includes installation of the upper steel tower sections, the nacelle and the rotor.

The tower is based on Max Bögl Wind's existing modular hybrid tower design, with modifications to accommodate the greater hub height. These include a new transition piece and changes to selected tower rings. Most tower sections and internal components are based on the company's existing modular system.

Installation of the upper steel sections and the main turbine components is scheduled over the coming months. Commissioning is planned for autumn 2026, after which the turbine will be connected to the electricity network of the nearby Max Bögl manufacturing site.
