DeepOcean has been awarded a contract to support installation of inter-array cables at the TPC Offshore Wind Farm Phase 2 (TPC-II) offshore Taiwan. The scope covers installation of cables connecting wind turbines to offshore substations, alongside engineering and project management services. DeepOcean will work with Dong Fang Offshore and will deploy the subsea vessel Orient Adventurer for offshore operations.
TPC-II has a capacity of 295 MW and is located 6.5 to 20 kilometres off the coast of Lukang in Changhua County. The project site covers 51 km² in water depths of 37 to 49 metres. The wind farm consists of 31 turbines on jacket foundations, linked by three inter-array cable loops on a 66 kV network. Power is transmitted to an offshore substation and then exported via three subsea cables to an onshore grid connection.
