Nordex has received an order from EEF Erneuerbare Energien Fabrik for the Rauschenberg wind farm in Hesse, Germany. The project will have an installed capacity of 34 MW and involves the replacement of five existing 3 MW turbines.
Nordex will supply and install five N175/6.X turbines, each with a capacity of 6.8 MW. The turbines will be installed on towers with a hub height of 199 metres. The order also includes a 20-year service contract. Delivery and installation are scheduled to start at the end of 2027 as part of the repowering project. The new turbines are expected to be operational by summer 2028. The number of turbines at the site will remain unchanged.
