Nordex will supply and install 21 N163/6.X wind turbines for the 147 MW Pienava wind farm in Latvia. The project, developed by Eolus, has been acquired by Latvenergo, the state-owned energy company.
Located in the Tukums municipality southwest of Riga, the wind farm is scheduled for commissioning in March 2027. Turbine delivery and installation are planned to begin in summer 2026. The turbines will be mounted on 169-metre tubular steel towers and supplied in a cold climate configuration. Following commissioning, Nordex will maintain the turbines under a 15-year service agreement.
