SeAH Wind has appointed Mammoet, Glacier Energy, and Hutchinson Engineering as key subcontractors for the Hornsea 3 offshore wind project. With commercial production set to begin soon, these companies will provide operational and logistical support at the 120-acre site on the South Bank of Teesworks, UK.
SeAH Wind will supply monopile foundations for the Hornsea 3 project, located about 120 km off the Norfolk coast in the North Sea.
Mammoet will provide self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs) for moving can/cone structures and completed monopiles within the SeAH Wind facility. Glacier Energy will conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) of welds during manufacturing. Hutchinson Engineering will supply secondary steel components for the project.
