Venterra has secured new equity investment to support its ongoing business development and international offshore wind activities. The funding round totals £40 million and is supported by existing investors, including General Atlantic BeyondNetZero, First Reserve and Venterra founder Ayman Asfari.
Founded in 2021, Venterra has grown through the acquisition of specialist companies providing services across survey, engineering, construction and installation for offshore wind projects. The group has established operations across the United Kingdom and Europe, with offices in England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland. It has also expanded its presence into the USA and the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, Taiwan and South Korea.
Venterra employs more than 850 people and has supported offshore wind projects with a combined capacity of around 90 GW worldwide. The new funding is intended to support further development of its service offering and geographic footprint.
