The County Administrative Board of Uppsala has announced its decision to recommend that the government approve the Fyrskeppet offshore wind farm, located 50 km off the coast of Uppsala County.
The offshore wind farm will have a maximum of 215 wind turbines. It will have a total capacity of 2,800 MW. The expected commercial operation date is 2030. The wind farm is projected to produce between 8 and 11 terawatt hours (TWh) of electricity annually.
