Navaris has secured awards for 11 onshore wind projects in Germany’s latest auction. With a combined capacity of 304.5 MW, all of the company’s submitted bids were successful. The awards cover 46 wind turbines and account for more than 12% of the total capacity awarded in the auction.
Once operational, the projects are expected to generate enough renewable electricity to supply around 200,000 households.
The auction was significantly oversubscribed. The German Federal Network Agency awarded 237 bids with a total capacity of 2,523 MW, while 461 bids totalling around 5,250 MW were submitted. Navaris’ awarded capacity therefore represents more than 10% of the total awarded volume.
