TotalEnergies has completed the acquisition of a 50% stake in the wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) portfolio of AES Dominicana Renewables Energy. The portfolio includes more than 1 GW of contracted renewable capacity.
Of this total, 410 MW is either operational or under construction and supplies electricity under long-term power purchase agreements. The remaining capacity comprises over 500 MW of solar and wind projects in development, along with battery storage systems designed to be integrated with solar plants to reduce intermittency and support grid stability.
