WestfalenWind has signed a contract with Enercon for the supply of 20 E-175 EP5 wind turbines, each with a capacity of approximately 6 MW, for wind energy projects in Bad Berleburg and Erndtebrück in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district of Germany. The order also includes two transformer stations.
The projects are being developed in close co-operation with the Wittgenstein-Berleburg Pension Chamber, which is providing the land for the installations. Each turbine will reach a total height of approximately 240 metres, including the rotor, which has a diameter of 175 metres. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2026.
