Trianel has signed a cooperation agreement with BMR Energy Solutions to jointly develop wind energy projects in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. As a first step, the partners plan to develop, build and operate four wind projects with a combined capacity of around 100 MW.
Under the agreement, BMR will focus on project development and implementation, while Trianel will be responsible for financing, turbine procurement and operations. The first joint project is the Erkelenz wind farm, which is planned to include seven turbines in the 7 MW class. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027.
