ZX Lidars has announced the appointment of Alex Woodward as Managing Director, succeeding founder Ian Locker, who has stepped down from the role after more than 20 years leading the business. Ian Locker has led the company since its early development. During this period, the company developed and commercialised lidar systems used for wind measurement across onshore and offshore wind projects.
Alex Woodward has more than 20 years of experience within ZX Lidars and related Fred. Olsen companies (parent company of ZX Lidars), and has held senior roles in commercial strategy, product development and market expansion. He most recently served as Commercial Director.
During his tenure, Alex Woodward has been involved in the development and market positioning of the ZX 300 and ZX 300e product range, as well as the expansion of the company’s global customer base.
Alex and Ian have worked closely throughout this period bringing 1000’s of wind Lidars to hundreds of countries globally.
