Vestas turbines arrive in Australia for 105 MW King Rocks wind farm

Vestas has delivered 17 wind turbines for the 105 MW King Rocks Wind Farm in Western Australia. The shipment arrived at the Port of Bunbury and includes 51 blades measuring close to 80 metres in length, 85 tower sections and 17 hubs, nacelles and powertrains.

Nordex secures 110 MW turbine order from Eksim Enerji in Türkiye

Nordex has secured a new order in Türkiye from Eksim Enerji for the supply and installation of 16 N175/6.X wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 110 MW. The turbines for the Balıkesir-3 wind farm will be installed on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 119 metres and supplied in the Cold Climate Version.

Australia’s Assistant Minister for Climate Change and Energy has announced the results of Tender 7 under the Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS), selecting 19 renewable energy projects with a combined capacity of 7.8 GW. Wind energy projects accounted for a significant share of the awarded capacity, including several large-scale developments in New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia and Victoria. The tender exceeded the original target of 5 GW.
