Scottish Renewables has announced the appointment of a new Chair and Vice-Chair, who will each serve three-year terms. Susie Lind, a partner at CMS, will take over as Chair, replacing Adam Morrison of Ocean Winds, who has held the role since 2021 and will remain on the organisation’s Board of Directors.
Bernhard Schulte Offshore takes delivery of CSOV Windea Carnot

Bernhard Schulte Offshore has taken delivery of a new commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV), Windea Carnot. The vessel was built at Ulstein Verft in Norway on behalf of an institutional investor and has now been handed over to Bernhard Schulte Offshore. The ship was christened on 6 March 2026.

Glamox to supply lighting for 390 MW Shinan Ui offshore wind farm in South Korea

Glamox has secured a contract from SHE on behalf of Hyundai Engineering & Steel Industries to supply marine lighting for the 390 MW Shinan Ui offshore wind farm in South Korea. The company will deliver around 1,000 marine lights for the jacket transition pieces of 26 fixed-bottom wind turbines. The lighting will illuminate both the interior and exterior of each turbine’s transition piece.
GE Vernova plans electrification manufacturing facility in Hai Phong, Vietnam

AkzoNobel’s protective coatings brand, International, has introduced Relest Wind EP Process Coat, a fast-drying epoxy in-mould gelcoat for wind blade manufacturing. The product is aimed at manufacturers using in-mould gelcoats and is part of the Relest blade protection range. It will be available in Europe and China.
Jan De Nul orders vessels for subsea cable installation and burial

Jan De Nul has ordered two new vessels designed to bury submarine cables in the seabed, named the Fleeming Jenkin and William Thomson. One of the vessels will be a trenching support vessel equipped with a subsea robot capable of burying cables up to five metres deep.
