Precision flange milling introduced for Vestas 15 MW turbine towers

CNC Onsite has delivered its custom-built Goliath milling machine to tower manufacturer Welcon, where it is now in use machining 97 bottom tower flanges for Vestas' 15 MW V236 turbines. The turbines are intended for offshore wind projects in Germany and the Netherlands.
Cadeler expands fleet with acquisition of new jack-up vessel

Cadeler has announced the acquisition of the Boqiang 3060 , a newly built jack-up wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV), from Shanghai Boqiang Heavy Industry Group. The vessel, which will be renamed Wind Keeper , is intended to strengthen Cadeler’s fleet and support the growing global demand for offshore wind turbine operations and maintenance.

New findings from Westwood Global Energy Group indicate that developers are becoming more cautious about floating offshore wind, citing delivery delays, policy uncertainty and investment risk as key concerns. Westwood’s annual Floating Offshore Wind Survey, based on responses from 166 stakeholders across the global floating wind supply chain, shows that short- and long-term growth expectations have declined. Participants included engineers, developers, investors, government bodies and supply chain actors.
