Enercon has introduced new optional operation modes for its E-175 EP5 E1 turbine that can increase annual energy production (AEP) by up to 5%, depending on site conditions and operating concepts.
The modes include new parameters for noise-reduced operation, which can deliver AEP increases of around 5% when activated. Enhancements have also been made to the yield-optimised mode, which reduces sound power levels by 1 decibel while allowing turbines to reach a maximum output of 6.3 MW, provided there are no grid restrictions.
