Goldwind will supply 68 GW165-6.0MW wind turbines for the 408 MW Gawara Baya wind project in North Queensland, Australia. Financial close has been reached and construction is underway.
The project has secured financing from a consortium of ten banks and is the first project supported by the Australian Government’s Capacity Investment Scheme to use Goldwind turbines. Goldwind is working with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on the project as construction progresses.
