RWE has started construction of two onshore wind farms in Italy. The Serra Palino project, located in the province of Foggia in the Apulia region, will have an installed capacity of 47 MW and comprise eight 5.9 MW turbines.
The Venusia wind farm, situated in the province of Potenza in the Basilicata region, will have a total capacity of 45 MW with eight 5.6 MW turbines. Both projects were successful in the latest Italian renewables auction, with commissioning scheduled for the end of next year.
